I ran across this recipe for “Burger Steaks with Mushroom Gravy, Sweet Potatoes and Haricots Verts” in Cooking Light magazine. It looked like pure comfort food. It was a quick and easy dish to prepare. I had a few Yukon Gold potatoes, so I opted for mashed potatoes, and we had a bag of Trader Joe’s Haricots Verts in the freezer (our dogs favorite snack of all time, he loves them frozen).
Decadent and delightful! Give it a whirl, this recipe serves 4. Click HERE to go to the myrecipes.com website where you can print this Cooking Light recipe!

You mean AC (Adorable Charlie) loves frozen green beans? What a hoot. You are the second person who has commented on Cooking Light. At The Bitten Word blog they said that the onion gravy served with a french turkey breast was the most popular dish they served at their fakesgiving. It too came from Cooking Light. Both sound delish.

Awww, love AC! Yes! Loves frozen haricot verts to be specific, Trader Joe’s brand 😉 – he picks them over carrots which is another true love (have to improvise when dog can’t have normal treats because of history of pancreatitis). Cooking Light is awesome, I have been a subscriber for about 18 (ohmygosh!) years. Can’t beat their recipes! Thanks for commenting Andrika!

By the way, what kind of dog is AC? He’s cuter than almost any other dog I know.
