Morning Walk, Charleston, SC!

✨Morning Walk✨

Springtime in Charleston elicits feelings of hope and gratitude. I think it’s the scenery, everything in bloom and the scents wafting through the air. It’s a magical time of year made even better when you notice all the little things. I took this photo on a morning walk…

The marsh is ever changing. Hide tide. Low tide. King tide. All leave it very different looking. Sometimes the water is like glass where you can see the reflections from the trees so perfectly. When it’s windy, you don’t see those reflections as clearly. Low tide brings on the “mud” look – no water in some places, birds walking through the mud scavenging for food. The sunrise (or sunset) makes it extra special.

We don’t live on the marsh, but live very close to it. What a view! What are some of your favorite views?

Happy weekend!

✍️ Until next time…

Love this, but i will never forget that view from the cottage (periwinkle) in port clyde – morning sunrise. Another view i love – our favorite spot on the back side of Monhegan.

    1. I love hearing about people’s favorite views (always subject to change, right?) I share your favorites for sure but have so many favorites. Summer on the river in MI, Spring here in Charleston with spectacular weather, everything blooming wildly so and magnificent scents coming from… everywhere! Winter the outpost in a park in MI, the river frozen but still flowing, SNOW (the large wondrous flakes that made this city stop in its tracks for a few days), the view on the boat to Monhegan, the ferry to Mackinac Island. I guess like many of us, we don’t have a single favorite, just a combination of wonderful memories ✨ and miraculous displays by Mother Nature. 🌍🙏✨

    1. Awww, you’re so sweet! More favorite views… as a kid when we would be out sailing and you would be down below bringing up a tray of cheese and crackers 💓. The views we had when we would start our long journey to the Christmas Tree farm to cut down our tree (haha), the view of the tree dad makes with lights by the river ❤️🎄Miss you guys, can’t wait to see you SOON! 💃🥳
