To all the Mothers out there… HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! This is a photo of my mom from long ago – it actually doesn’t feel all that long ago. I have vivid memories of sailing with my parents (weekends and Wednesdays) and having the best time ever…
I am blessed to have a wonderful mom. A mom that is a friend (both my parents are unique that way) as much as she is “my Mom”. So when my sister asked me to move to South Carolina all those years ago, I told my parents that I would go for a few months but I would be back. So there was no heart wrenching goodbye. A tough goodbye, because I knew I wouldn’t see them for several months. Here I am, in Charleston 32 years later. It turns out I did stay (in case you were wondering)… I didn’t expect to meet the love of my life and live here forever and ever. But, so thankful I did!
Life blesses us in different ways. She never made me feel bad that I didn’t come back to MI, but then again, she kept herself busy with her friends, so she was good – she still is. Both of my parents are, and for that I am so thankful.
I haven’t seen my family since pre-COVID which has melted my heart numerous time over this stressful year + months… BUT, I will see them soon and I CANNOT WAIT!
So hey Mom! Happy Mother’s Day! You are the coolest, sweetest, mom ever! Thankful for technology, email, texts, FaceTime, hand written cards and letters and phone calls on nearly a daily basis. I love you guys so much.
Thanks for being the best Mom in the world! I love you! Have the best day ever, I’ll be in touch 😉 xo, me
I would also like to wish Fred’s mom, who is another wonderful Mom and friend HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY – thank YOU for being such a wonderful Mom to Fred. We wish you the happiest day ever! 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼
Wishing all women a Happy Mother’s Day. Whether you are a mother past (I’m so sorry, and know what you’re going through/have been through), present (bless you!), or future (how exciting) or even if you’ve decided not to have children. Most of us (women) are born to nurture- whether it be for a child, or someone in need (including 🐾) – so Happy Mother’s Day!
✍️ Until next time…
