THIS is something you look forward to, you work hard for. You go through a lot of “firsts” in your life, then you go through a lot of “lasts” in your life and now this – and wow, is it ever exciting… #cantbelieveit

👏 Retirement! 🙌

My husband reached the Big Day yesterday, his last day of service. He’s been at the same place for a very long time. All the firsts you know about, first job, first big meeting, first presentation, first work travel, etc. but after many (MANY) years, if you’re super fortunate, you get to experience some “lasts” like last holiday while working, last XYZ meeting, last brief, last call, last presentation, last email, last day with a computer, last day period… #stroudOUT

How bizarre (in the best of ways) will it to be utterly free! I think he’ll get used to it pretty quickly! I mean, this is a man who has had a date on his calendar for the last 25+ years! Today he had his Ina Garten Chocolate Cake (Barefoot Contessa) to kick off his newfound freedom, woohoo!

Frederick, I’m super proud of all you’ve accomplished, the brilliant man that people reach out to, the kind hearted soul who will help anyone to get the job done. You are loved by your work family, but also by me. So be good, I’m in charge of things now, hehehehehe… 🤣 The alarm will sound at “o five hundred” (hahaha) – kidding, sleep in, enjoy your coffee in the morning without letting it sit to get cold while you respond to email. It’s the little things!
