9/11/2001 – Do you remember where you were?

Most of us who are old enough remember the 9/11 attacks remember exactly where we were, what we were doing, even where we were standing the day of the attacks. It’s hard to believe it was 22 years ago. Like many of you, I will never forget that day.

I was at work early one morning, the first to arrive – I had my radio on. I heard breaking news that sounded like a nightmare. Surely it was an accident – but the news persons voice was frantic. I ran into the small kitchen area and turned on the TV and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I called my husband. A co-worker walked in and together we just stared at the TV. Hard to believe.

Impossible to forget. So many lives lost. So many brave first responders, police, fire, & medical personnel – reacting to a call to save lives which they did without giving theirs a second thought. The tragedy. The awful feeling that it could have been any one of us – who just happened to be there at that specific time, who flew in a plane, who was at work at the Pentagon. The events that were carried out on 9/11 were heartbreaking – thankfully there were many heroes. To think it could have been worse is unfathomable.

David Muir from ABC World News featured a short video, if you weren’t there or don’t recall the events of 9/11 – this is a brief video with snippets. #grabatissue

Prayers continue for all who were affected in any way, in 2001, now and in the future.

🙏 Until next time…
