Happy Father’s Day! A glorious day and time to honor all of the dad’s who have given so much to their families – you are to be celebrated!!
A good dad is so important. Kids remember the little things. It’s not about what you buy them, it’s about how you make them feel (happy/safe). Sharing what they love (art, photography, sailing – the list goes on) which will one day prompt you to learn the same. A good dad is invaluable and I am so thankful for mine.
A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society.

🏆 Here’s to my super cool dad, who gave us the best of times (and still does). His inquisitive nature is infectious. He often tries things before I do. Digital camera, iPad, iPhone, painting, etc., then shares his enthusiasm over the process, whatever it may be. I LOVE that about him. One of my favorites is when he had a dark room in the basement. He would take photos and develop them and they were beautiful. I took photography lessons years later because of that.
To those of you who still have your dad – cherish them. To those who have lost their dad – my heart goes out to you, know they are with you in spirit. To those who want to become a dad one day – take it seriously, but have fun with it. It’s one of the most important jobs on the planet.
I love you, dad – you’re are the absolute best, and for that I am thankful.
These feelings of gratitude extend to Fred’s dad as well. They just don’t come any nicer than these two. We are blessed beyond belief.
