This house plan has so many wonderful features not to mention a large screened porch on the back. What a dream! The three windows in the front… that’s the kitchen! Absolutely perfect! There is a master down with an additional bedroom as well as two bedrooms upstairs with a small sitting room – so nice for guests (or family)! The one bedroom downstairs could be used as an office if you’re working from home like so many of us!
This is the Alder Cottage by Lake and Land Studio for Southern Living House Plans. This plan is 3,014 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms! Lake and Land mentions that this is the perfect home for entertaining guests, and I have to agree! There are so many things to love about this plan!
As I mentioned, the kitchen on the front of the house with wonderful windows by the kitchen sink, which is such a dream, especially with a PANTRY nearby! One side of this plan has the master suite and another bedroom (or office??) on the other side of the plan is the laundry, mudroom and another entrance.
Upstairs is situated so nicely for company especially! A nice bedroom with nearby bathroom, a sitting room and another bedroom with shared bathroom. Beautiful windows bring light into the sitting room. There is ample closet and attic storage space. What’s not to love?

It IS a delight, isn’t it. This is one dynamic plan. There is so much wonderful living space – and I adore the kitchen on the front of the house. This is utter perfection! Lake + Land does it again 😉
