Koi are so interesting. They’re lovely creatures with so much spunk. I named the orange fish coming up for a bit of food “Orange Crush”, ha ha… The lily pads were stunning (as were the ever changing purple flowers) – that’s an entirely different post. When I looked back at this image it looks so much like a painting to me (it’s not!). I love the rings of movement and the reflected light from the sky creating interesting patterns in the water, the movement of the fish is beautiful. So elegant.
When I first looked at this image my first thought was of a Michael Zarowsky painting – a cool artist from Canada. Check out his Waterlily paintings and you’ll see what I mean!
Don’t you love when you see something so unexpected and beautiful? The way light, sun, movement makes a subject over the top. It was a zen like experience watching these fish in their sweet little spot. #luckykoi #amomentofzen
👩💻 Until next time…

we happen to have a koi pond and one of my favorite places to go to in our yard is there to watch the flickering colors and patterns .

This was a friend’s koi pond – what a fabulous little vignette. They have it made, ha ha. What fun to watch, peaceful too!
