We were driving down the road when I said “Stop! Let me out, I need to take a photo!”. I jumped out and ran to this very spot, where (as we drove by) I saw the mix of light and shadows on the water, the sun setting and the mix of different lines and shadows. I love this photo…

It’s a very special spot (boat slip) in Michigan. Actually, I used to ice skate on this very spot (minus the structure) when I was a kid. It wasn’t the smoothest ice, but it was nearby and protected somewhat from the wind, which was nice. By the time we gathered all our stuff, got dressed enough to not freeze and got to this spot we only skated for a short time and brrrr, ready to go in for a hot chocolate! Good memories…
