I took this photo in early December while we were in the mountains of North Carolina for a wonderful stay. We arrived (no snow) to chilly temps and a weather advisory, possible snow, especially in the higher elevations. Well, we were pretty excited. We weren’t going to be driving anywhere for the next few days, so what better time to enjoy a major snowfall?
I saw it ❄️ we had a dusting of snow after dinner. I checked my watch for the weather and it said 0% chance of precipitation. Darn! We missed it! Checked again around dinner-time and saw it lightly snowing. (Yippeee!) – Checked a few hours later, after dinner, ooooh – more snow! I was so excited. I checked before we went to bed and woke up a few times to check. Early AM I jumped out of bed to a LOT of snow, I ran out with my phone and took photos.
You would think i’ve never seen snow before. I’m from Michigan, but have lived in South Carolina since before Hurricane Hugo (1989, some of us know the exact date, ugh) so we don’t get a big opportunity to see snow. As I write this post (Thursday) there is a slight chance, since we’re on the coast our chances go down, but we’re hoping to see snow and will be prepared to stay home, woohoo!
Stay warm y’all!
❄️Until next time…
