I have a friend with a similar plan, screened side porch and it’s also stunning, not to mention very useful on buggy days, or days you prefer to be tucked away. This is the Fairfax II house plan by Allison Ramsey Architects. This plan is 1,699 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The porches on this house make it such a usable plan, feeling much larger than its square footage.
You enter this plan into the living room, which is open to dining and kitchen. Stair on your left between living and dining and a powder room just past the stairs. You access the master suite from the kitchen. Off the bedroom is the master bath and through the bathroom to the walk-in closet. Behind the kitchen is a mud room and then a porch that takes you to the backyard.
Upstairs, you enter into the loft space with a bedroom on your right and a bedroom and shared bath on your left. Perfection! What I love about Allison Ramsey is that they can change anything you wish was different. Make a wish, and no doubt they’ll be able to make it come true! So never be afraid to start with a stock plan if the architect will work with you to design the home of your dreams.
