Happy Weekend…

Isn’t this the most stunning spectacle of lavender you’ve ever seen? The colors so vibrant, the plant so healthy and it just keeps blooming and blooming. We have the pot in the sun and when the light hits it – whoa, it takes your breath away… and the scent! #IYKYK!

I know many of you have waited for Friday to finally start the weekend! It’s here. In Charleston, SC the weather is spectacular, sunny, a picture of perfection (we can’t say that in the summer). This is Charleston’s time to shine (weather wise). The pollen has finally slowed, the leaves have dropped, and the squiggles – now, we need rain…

We’re now in a severe drought, sigh… everything is crunchy. We have one day a week from Sunday that shows 50% chance of rain as I write this, it will evaporate no doubt.

The silver lining… low to no mosquitoes when normally we have more than our share. It’s just too dry for them. This weather is great for those with outdoor plans, but the birds, bees, squirrels, etc. need water. The ligustrums have budded and are getting ready to bloom and that means the bees will be plentiful. Yippee!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, maybe pop a few cherry turnovers into your oven and create a treat that will blow your mind. Recipe on previous post!

🐝 Until next time… ✨ Take a moment to be grateful for at least one thing today – TODAY will be a good day, you’ve got this!
