Leonard Chmiel. A very talented artist who’s work is breathtaking. I was zipping through Instagram and saw this painting. What a beauty! The reflections in the water are so peaceful, so soothing – I could just look at this all day long.
Between the bits of light towards the top, the reflections of the clouds mid point and the reflections near the bottom this keeps my eye in the painting. Also love those little bits of color from the blooms about to emerge.

There is an intimacy and honesty about the subjects oil painter Len Chmiel chooses as each painting is an expression of himself. He explains that he has a pretty good idea of who he is at this point in his life. “I used to try to control everything but now I allow my intuition to speak. My intention is to expand the boundaries of realism rather than merely painting a facsimile.”
