Patti Vincent. When I saw this painting my jaw dropped. I really love all of Patti’s work, but these plein air paintings just grab me. What I love so much about this one is the color palette. It’s softer and fabulous and gives such a beautiful overall feel.
Isn’t this a spectacular painting? This is one of the paintings that Patti did for the Strada Challenge! I loved seeing the Strada Challenge painting each day (back in September!). They have been phenomenal! For those of you who don’t know who Strada is, they make a high quality, fabulous easels, they’re popular among artists who paint from life (outdoors, or “plein air”) – their challenge this year was to paint plein air each day and post the painting. You can follow their Instagram @strada.easel – or check out their website! Of course, Patti has posted each day to her Instagram as well.
I didn’t know the size of this painting until I contacted Patti, it’s amazing how much she can fit in such a small space! This was painted in her Kraftpaper sketchbook to use as an inspiration for a larger painting, which I cannot wait to see!
I featured Patti last year (read the post HERE) and ran across some newer work and was thrilled to feature her once again!
