I was out on a morning walk, and ran into this sight. Whoa! Grab the phone, catch the light in the Spanish moss hanging from the live oak trees (and closest in image is a crepe myrtle). I love walking in Charleston, you always run into something to photograph… I’ve learned not to leave my phone at home!
Whether it’s the architecture, a stunning array of plants and flowers, the magical light that hits the trees in just the right way, the marsh, beach, downtown… the list could go on and on. When I see a sight like this I take a moment and make myself aware that I am not taking it for granted. Every special thing we see or do is what makes life so grand. It’s the smallest of things. Go out of your way to look for it and it will be there.
Bonus – when you’re conscious of the world around you, not just the negativity, but the beautiful world around you, the special people doing wonderful things for others, take it in, it will make you a happier person. # bethegood
