A cut flower that LASTS!

Nose in the air – that’s how I used to feel about carnations. They seemed to be cheap “filler” for bouquets – but recently my husband bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers from a place we visited. Included in the bouquet were carnations – most of them closed, they looked like little rosebuds. After other flowers wilted away, I put the carnations in a jar with a little water…

Ohmygosh, I have newfound respect for carnations. They’re over 2 weeks old and living the dream. Happy as can be (with just a simple snip and fresh water every few days) – my goodness – where can I purchase these to plant. Imagine having such happy flowers in small vases here and there throughout the house! I love the soft pink! 🩷🌸🩷

What’s another flower that keeps alive for a while in a vase? I used to have zinnia’s planted and we used those for cut flowers all year long, they were stunning!

💗 Until next time…
