
My mom bought me a subscription to the Magnolia Journal – Wow, what a great gift idea! I took a peek at the magazine and set it aside for when I could spend some time perusing the pages. Well, I must have run across the shortcake recipe and I couldn’t find it anywhere. Thankfully, it’s all over the Internet, but I also found it… guess where? Right in the magazine where I first saw it, sigh…
This recipe is quick and easy to make, I only used one quart of strawberries and it could have used more – I did end up buying more strawberries, but I also FROZE part of the shortcake and we had it a week later with some thawed strawberries and it was such a treat! Click HERE to print my version of the recipe shown below – I didn’t change any ingredients, which is rare for me. The only difference is that Joanna made her whipped cream, and I bought mine (a good brand!).
