The transition from spring to summer in Charleston, SC is full of everything beautiful and tasty! Spring brings all the new blooms, buds and flowers – shortly afterwards come the scents that smell like a fine perfume- so beautiful. As we get closer to summer (June 21st!) the fresh produce is really in abundance. I try to plan meals before I go grocery shopping, but sometimes that gets thrown out the window if I see really good produce. #changeisgood
We also have several Farmer’s Markets in Charleston, SC. Each is spectacular and filled with the freshest produce, flowers, treats (not to mention so many other items!) – Right now the asparagus, corn, cantaloupe, fresh herbs, wow. So tasty! I found a chart online, what’s in season right now in Charleston, SC, click HERE.
We have a Farmer’s Market close by on Wednesday’s. So when I ran to the grocery store this weekend, I purchased enough through Tuesday and will see what there is to get us through the rest of the week. It’s exciting. I love food and I love to plan. Not every meal, it is nice to have a break no doubt, I think we all felt that during COVID. (#enoughisenough)

🌽 Until next time…

Charleston is so pretty. I’ve tried to replicate the gardens but I’m more a high desert weed pro. A lovely glimpse.
