Happy July 1st! Good grief time flies, it’ll be Christmas next week at this rate. What better to celebrate the first of the month than a Dahlia photo? I took this when we were in Michigan visiting my family. A stunning array of blooms. Absolute perfection in my book. I want Dahlia’s everywhere – how gorgeous in vases and on the shrubs. We had to run down the street and take this photo – too pretty to pass up!

July 1st. The 4th is coming soon. I read something I loved, it said instead of buying fireworks this year, how about buy a bag of dog food (or two!) and donate to your local animal shelter. Think what a better world it could be if we could forgo the noise and help animals in need? Not to mention not putting veterans through hell reliving awful moments of their lives as the fireworks sound like ammo.

The Golden Rule. It’s so simple. “Treat others as you would like to be treated“. I will hop off my soapbox now ;)
