Pictured are two cool people I have known all my life – they’re the best of the best, truly. How fortunate I am to have met them all those years ago! #blessed

These are my parents, and today is my mom’s birthday, so please join me in wishing her a Happy Birthday! I took this photo at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) when visiting Michigan. We had the best time. We literally walked for hours and hours. I think all of us needed to go “toes up” at least for a short time. For those of you unaware what “toes up” means – it is nap time – We had a super cool friend who lived in Maine, she used to use that phrase – I always thought it was brilliant).

The DIA had an area set up so that you could sit on a stool and take photos – cool lighting and a cloud mural background was so perfect. We took turns taking photos and got to laughing as we usually do. It was the best day – cannot wait to go back.

I’m thankful for the parents I have, full of wonder which made for a fun childhood. I am so thankful for these two – Happy birthday, Mom! Wishing you the best day ever and know Dad will make it extra special as he always does. 😘 Love you always!
