Isn’t this the quintessential New England fall decor you’ve always dreamed of? Simple. Classic. The gorgeous blue of the door, coupled with the classy door knocker is enough to say WOW, but add pumpkins on the ledge above the door and this is a knockout! The American flag dresses this off nicely, as does the pretty flowers on the porch.

I absolutely love it when simple = stunning. Sometimes simple is just plain simple, but this is a gorgeous scene. What do you opt for this time of year? We usually have a pot of mums on the porch – a friend of mine planted hers and it was gorgeous, I almost prefer it that way – can’t wait to give it a try!

The days are definitely getting shorter (it happens so quickly) and it’s soon to be much shorter with the time change early November – ugh. It’s all good! It’s time to break out a good book, open up a new jigsaw puzzle and jump into the season with gusto. Personally, I’m thrilled for cooler weather. #couldntbehappier
