The Best Last Minute Holiday Desserts

Image from Day 2 🥴

Ok… so this image gives me a reason to make this pie again this year! I need to take a GOOD photo of it. Last time, I remembered to take the photo on Day 2 right before we were getting ready to take a bite. #goodgrief! I don’t make sweets often, so when I do we’re very excited about it – obviously! A few special desserts, none are difficult but they ARE amazing!

Infamous pies were what my grandma was known for. They are heavenly!

GRANDMA’S BUTTERSCOTCH PIE

Growing up, I have wonderful memories of my grandma making her butterscotch and chocolate pies. Everything was made from scratch – and it was divine. My aunt continues to make the pies to this day, and let me say, she nailed it from the beginning! We were a pie-eating family – and the joy of a slice of pie was on everyone’s mind during dinner. It’s that good. No lie! Here’s the link to the recipe: 👉 Grandma’s Butterscotch Pie

RUSTIC APPLE TART

Another quick and beautiful dessert is from Martha Stewart I tried years ago and it’s been a big hit – this is a great option if you don’t want to deal with crust.

HOT TIP: my new favorite frozen pie crust (which receives excellent reviews) is by Wholly Wholesome (the ones in the pie tins) – I don’t know about their gluten free option, this is for the regular option with the blue label.

Check out the turkey, dressing, potatoes, Scandinavian Bean Salad and Chocolate pie recipes that were posted on Monday!

🦃 Good luck to all of you who are preparing delicious meals for family and friends!
