🦃 Sending wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving! 🙏

This photo of my husband and I was taken by a friend and Expert-In-Residence at The Swag in Waynesville, NC – This is one of my favorite photos of us, we were climbing up to Hemphill Bald near the Cataloochee Ranch in North Carolina. Best photo ever… It’s a strong reminder of the many things we have in our lives to be thankful for. #friends #family #thegreatoutdoors

On this day we took a sunrise hike with Steven and a great group of people. The sunrise was a stunner. We went a bit farther than anticipated, Steven captured Fred and I. Bless him for doing that. We have no hills in Charleston and are nearly at sea level. Hemp Hill Bald is at 5,557 feet above sea level, and being early and without food, whew! The Swag has a different Expert-In-Residence at different times. We’ve hiked with Steven several times – a Forest Bathing hike (WOW!) and a few different sunrise hikes, a few hikes to Purchase Knob (#wow). He is a wealth of knowledge and makes it so fun to learn about so many interesting facts and stories about the Appalachian territory and its people. He knows everything about the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and basically everything else. I love his stories. Everyone does. #thankyousteven!

So on this Thanksgiving, I am very grateful for my husband and four legged 🐾, my family, friends, and for the adventures that are ahead. #feelingblessed
