Wouldn’t this be a wonderful plan to build in the mountains of North Carolina? In an idyllic nature setting overlooking mountains and woods – I think this would be stunning. I would have it blend into the landscape so as to not take away from the natural beauty of the setting. This plan is larger than it looks, so there is a lot of room for living!
This is the Whites Bend house plan by C3 Studio. This plan is 3,338 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. It’s nice that the master is located on the main floor. However, with this plan you have options. If you have a young child and would prefer to be on the same floor as they are, you could make the lower level bedroom the master until they’re old enough, and then you can move upstairs. I love options!
The first floor has you enter from the covered porch into a foyer, with a powder room on the right and an elevator, if needed. From there you walk into the kitchen (complete with fabulous pantry!!) which is open to the living area, and finally the dining room, which opens onto a nice deck. There is a covered porch off of the living room, which would be really nice if it were screened – on nice days those doors could be left open, and oooh! A wonderful breeze wafting in would be lovely, wouldn’t it? There is also entry from the garage/storage area, which leads into something everyone needs… a mud room!
The lower level of this plan has so much room. One bedroom with attached bathroom, another bathroom (or study) with a nearby bathroom and a den area that can be used for so many things! The kid’s separate living/study space, work space, the possibilities are endless!

👋 On another note – it’s MARCH! We bit adieu to February which was mostly uneventful, thank goodness. Who would have thought uneventful could be such a good thing? Thinking of the many who are dealing with the various weather situations (fires, tornados, etc.) among other life scenarios. It’s getting harder and harder to watch the news. There really needs to be a good news station. All good news – all the time. There IS good news out there, we just constantly hear the bad. #weneedthegood #itsallaboutbalance
Until next time…
