Many people are starting to downsize and build smaller homes. I read about the latest trend (and the trend to do away with excessive hallways to maximize space). I think a lot of people think they’re sacrificing so much by not having a large home. This plan shows that you can have your cake and eat it too! Small, yes. Livable, absolutely!
This is the Cordage Cottage house plan by Allison Ramsey Architects. This plan is 665 square feet with 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom. You have to see it to believe it – it packs a punch for sure! In the video (you can watch from the link below, “This Plan”) you will see entrance (which I love!) is on the side. This is a precious home (video shows home built in Belize). You enter into the living room of this plan. Once you walk in the kitchen is on your right and is open to the living room, which leads to the oh-so-amazing screened porch! The bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house separated by a shared bathroom. Upstairs is a loft that is open to below. In the video they show two twin beds and two bedside tables, and it’s as cute as can be! Check it out!
