Springhill Cottage by Lake and Land Studio

This porch! The Springhill Cottage is a sweet plan full of character. It’s the porch that I fell in love with upon first glance. I think Springhill has such curb appeal, from the cuts in the roof, to the windows and the door/entrance – and of course the porch, which gives you as much privacy as you need, depending upon your landscaping.

This is the Springhill Cottage plan by Lake & Land Studio. This plan is 838 square feet with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. You enter this plan via the front stoop entering into the living room which extends to the dining/kitchen area. Off to the left is a side porch, generous in size that can add a lot of living to the square footage! From the living room there is a hallway, to the right is a laundry and guest room, to the left is the primary suite, and in between is a bathroom. #perfect

I like that this is a smaller plan, perfect for one, or even for a couple, and so nice to know that Lake and Land can make modifications if you need them! This is the perfect plan for a single person – Changes I would make for the two of us:

I would consult with Lake & Land to see about adding a “bump out” on the right side of the house to include:

Primary Suite: adding a bathroom/laundry room (same size/configuration as original bath) as well as a walk in closet (separate) – OR keep the laundry room where it’s at and increase closet storage.

Original Bathroom: I would add a closet to the existing bathroom somewhere on the wall with the sink and toilet.

Guest Room: Lastly, I would want to add a walk in closet via the “bump out” on the right hand side OR edit the current laundry room by opening that space to the Guest room and extending the current closet. It would be the perfect plan for two along with two bathrooms which come in handy with guests.

However, if it were just me, I wouldn’t change a thing! How nice to be able to talk to Lake & Land and get their suggestions – mine may not be feasible, but I’m pretty sure they can do anything!
