Emily Giffin. I have never read this author so I wasn’t sure what to expect. First of all, I love the cover. How important is a book cover to you? Do you feel it should reflect the story within the pages? Or does it not matter to you? My personal opinion is that it matters a lot. From something I read I’m not sure the author gets a say (not sure if this is true). I enjoyed this book, which I read recently, here’s my review…

I picked this book up at Costco (which will stop selling books at the end of the year – well, except for Christmas selections at the end of the year, which is unfortunate because without a possible book as motivation to go to Costco they definitely will not see me as often).

As I mentioned I recently read this book, I picked it up (based on the cover) but I was in a hurry, I put it back but my husband picked it up which I didn’t realize until we were at the checkout counter. Surprise! How sweet! 💕 I had just read The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, which was a deeper book – one that I loved. So something lighter was in order. This fit the bill perfectly! Can you suggest other titles by Emily Giffin? Or have you read something recently that you loved? Please share!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Summer Pact by Emily Giffin

A delightful story. The characters are vastly different yet work well together (despite one character that was difficult to appreciate at times). A good, light read with a bit of humor and more… In the end they came together for each other. Enjoyed! One note, Emily Giffin did take on a serious subject up front which I really appreciated. She handled it carefully and her friends all did the right thing – something that WILL make a difference. So please look out for this – it’s the premise of the book, so you won’t miss it. I just didn’t want you to think this was fluff and no substance. Great book!

I will definitely read this author’s books again – this was a good time despite all that went on.
