Are you looking for a psychological thriller that will grab you from the very first page? Well, have I got the book for you! I think it’s best if you don’t try to figure out what’s what from the beginning. It all falls into place and then the rug is pulled out from under you and something different happens. I didn’t see all the ups and downs, highs and lows and UNEXPECTED happenings time after time. Brilliant writing by Ashley Elston. First Lie Wins is a fabulous read (and I’ve also heard a great audio book!) – Just try to carve out some time so you don’t have to stop reading for long.

A great book selection (especially for a certain group of women). This is my first Catherine Newman book. At first I thought 😳 but honestly, unless you are bothered by language and some circumstances, then this is a fabulous book. Carley Fortune. I love her writing style. This book has the best setting. In my mind it’s like a Dirty Dancing resort, very nice, but in a charming way. The characters are fabulous although imperfect like the rest of us. Two people with an undeniable connection – but… Trust me, it’s a good one! I just finished another great book by Abby Jimenez! I’m a big believer in not giving details of a book so it doesn’t spoil the surprise of it all (I don’t even read the back). The way Abby writes is truly a joy, she’ll make you laugh out loud (“snort”) – some of the words she chooses just makes it funnier for some reason. This book includes a romance, despite impossible odds when dealing with real life issues. Five stars, except for the fact that I read her books far too quickly. It’s a keeper for sure!

I am fairly new to Carley’s books. I’ve read one and loved it and this is the second (third has been purchased) – Once I find an author I like, it’s nice to have a book or two going forward in my To Be Read (TBR) stack. It’s a comfort thing I believe. A world without books (or art, design, music, color, etc.) would be stifling. Books are a big part of my world, always have been, and I never want that to end. The joy of reading, visiting faraway places, learning different points of view – I think can make us all a bit more level headed and tolerant of others, not to mention being the best escape. #youdontevenhavetopackabag!

Swan Song (Nantucket #4) by Elin Hilderbrand. This is the perfect “Calgon, take me away” (for those of you who remember that commercial) escape through reading.
