We were in Summerville, SC the other day and on the way back to the car I noticed these STUNNING pink blooms. I had to make a quick detour to check them out and to admire the beauty (and of course to take a few photos!) – This is so beautiful. The flowers were large and various colors of pink, do you know what this is?

I happened to see a FB friend post a photo of hers, so now I know what it’s called – this is a Confederate Rose. It was given that name because a confederate soldier passed away near a white rose bush – so the name stuck. The sun shining through the blooms was magical – and look at the sumptuous shades of pink! This is a large plant, very large and absolutely gorgeous!
