I’ve never planted lupine. I’ve never actually seen it blooming in Maine because we always used to visit in September (after they bloomed), but here it is in Charleston! Blooming beautifully and for sale. I love to visit shops with beautiful plants, we have several that I can think of and each is a dream!

I took this image at Elizabeth Stuart Design (ESD) in Mount Pleasant, SC – so many beautiful plants. It makes me want to stuff my pots full of flowers. It’s a little early yet. We’ll probably be ok (we hit 80 degrees the other day and in the 70’s today), but no chance risking it, not yet.

Get out and get your hands in the dirt, even if it’s just preparing for what’s to come. If your dirt happens to be underneath snow, sigh… get back in the house, make a hot tea and grab a good book! Spring will be headed your way SOON!
