The first day of Spring is Friday! So I’m going to start the pretty flower photos a bit early. We live in the southeast region (Zone 9a with plants and flowers), so our flowers are going crazy with blooms and when ours are done, areas north of us are just blooming. This time of year is so beautiful, I love it!

The hazy days of thick yellow pollen are a lot of work. You can see it blowing across the road, or down the street. Your car can be perfectly clean one minute and have 1/4″ of pollen and leaves the next. This is a leaf-dropping time of year for us, (now and fall) but it’s still beautiful! Still, with everything in full bloom it is stunning!

Garden centers will soon have police directing traffic (no lie!) and it will basically stay that way until the flowers are gone for the year. We all love our flowers, ha ha.

Ideas of what you’re planting? We have far more shade than sun so we need to pick wisely. Still learning after all these years.
