Great Product: Trader Joe’s Dryer Balls!

I’m sure you’ve heard of dryer balls. Made with wool, they’re balls (tennis ball size) that you toss in the dryer with your wet clothes. I’ve read that it makes your load dry faster, keeps clothes softer and untangled. I’ve also read it can help with static electricity which usually gets me at times. I did some research and…

After reading reviews, I found that some dryer balls smell. Like a sheep or something not fresh. Why would you want to put those in your dryer with clean clothes? I ordered some highly rated dryer balls, received them and the package was covered in a slick of some sort of oily substance. I returned, as the dryer balls were open to the inside of that package, I didn’t want to put it with clean clothes. In between returning and heading to Trader Joe’s to pick up our normal items I saw DRYER BALLS. I didn’t buy them because I didn’t have time to review if they were good, do they smell, etc. After reading GREAT reviews, I bought them ($5.99!!) and just did my first load.

Lawdy! The load dried a bit faster and came out very nice! I read that it’s good after you use them to keep them in the little cloth bag they come in. Keeps them fresh.

I’m super excited about my find at a local Trader Joe’s – love that place. Always so many treasures to be found! Dryer balls are especially useful if you use unscented detergent (me!) or have allergies to or are affected by strong scents (me, again!) – they’re unscented. If you like scent, I did read some people put a few drops of essential oil on them for scent, but everything we buy is scented, you really don’t need to scent your clothes with a dryer ball (although it’s much better for you than dryer sheets!)

🧺 Until next time…
