Home Sweet Home!

This is Home Sweet Home. We’ve been here a long time – almost 31 years, hard to believe that much time has flown by. The neighborhood we live in, Old Windermere, has been around since 1927. Back in the day they planted a Live Oak in front of each house. What great vision they had! It makes this one of the prettiest areas in Charleston with the Live Oaks forming a canopy over the street. We have the luxury of being super close to everything. Downtown, beaches, etc. So, if you’re looking for a home in the Charleston, SC area…

Have I got a gem for you! Built in 1931 this home was built for a pharmacist and his wife. At the time they also owned the lot on either side of them, what a dream! (Sold back in the 1990’s) – word is Mrs. Hunley was a prolific gardener. We have planted a lot over the years, and the soil that we’ve run into has been beautiful.

This home is 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which has worked well for us over the years. 1,775 square feet and a great amount of outdoor space with a pool.

I can’t tell you what a tough decision this was. I love this house more than I’ve loved any house. It’s been absolute perfection! And, the ability to walk to dinner, grab groceries, pick up a book at the library, visit a few great antique stores, Half Moon, ice cream, bakery, pizza, etc. etc. is pretty fabulous and adds to the allure for sure! But, we’ve decided to venture out – overcome the anxiety of moving across the country to a colder climate, be closer to family and friends and have the opportunity to explore other areas of Michigan that we’ve always wanted to see. To walk in a different area admiring gorgeous architecture. Our “next chapter” as my husband calls it is an exciting one. We cannot wait.

If you know of anyone looking for a great house – please pass this along!
