Winter Garden, A Novel by Kristin Hannah. Another winner! This is a great book full of history. It goes back and forth between modern time and “war-torn Leningrad”. It will make you appreciate all you have and really think about things differently. The struggles, the relationships, the difficulties but also the love, compassion and caring. Women coming together, even if it takes years.

The Old Me used to read the back of books before purchasing. The New Me doesn’t want the to ruin the surprise element of the story. So… Instead, I head over to goodreads.com and read the reviews (only the ones with no spoilers). I like to not know what’s coming. This is an especially good book to read WITHOUT reading the back of the book. That way you have a surprise every little bit. Great writing. A perfect summer read!

Sarah Adams is a joy. Her books are delightful and a nice change of pace. They’re light and will definitely make you laugh out loud. The perfect books to read when you need something a little lighter. So enjoyable and entertaining. I love her sense of humor.

I feel like I give a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews, but I spend a lot of time researching which books to add to my To Be Read (TBR) List. A LOT of time. So I have an excellent selection of books on the shelf to read. It helps to have found a few authors that I think highly of, especially an author with many books that I haven’t read yet (best feeling ever!) – This book was excellent on so many levels.

It may not be the best story you’ve ever heard but I’ve never come up blank (yet). I do think the caffeine amount has to be just right, that may be the real key! I was writing a blip using the word prompt: Glimmer. When out spewed the start of a story. I quickly wrote two versions and ended up using the second version. This is my introduction into fiction, I have even more respect for real authors after trying a blip! (haha) – I may add to this story in the future… I admire real authors, planning is key, and there is no planning involved in this, just writing…
