This is the 59 Greenville Lane house plan by Our Town Plans. It’s a beauty isn’t it? This home is 3,466 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms (with an optional attic space that adds 1,098′ along with a bedroom, bathroom, bonus room, loft, mechanical room and storage!)
This home has wonderful deep porches, working shutters and so much charm – I love that steep roof!
What a fabulous plan! An open Living/Dining/Kitchen, along with a wonderful Laundry space and on the other side of the staircase a Study. Can you imagine how much time you would spend there? I can! Note the ceilings on the main floor are 12′. Pretty darn impressive! (Upstairs ceilings measure 11’3″ and the optional attic space is 9’6″) – Grand!
Just look at all these porches! Both screened and unscreened. There is a lot of time to be spent on these dreamy porches!

A great upstairs configuration with a large master bedroom, a smaller bedroom, and then across the hall another large bedroom. Personally, I would use the master bedroom and make the smaller bedroom beside it a reading room. (Note that the “smaller” bedroom is still a good size!). There is also a nice office space.
There is also an optional attic configuration and it’s pretty incredible! Click HERE to see more…. Wow, the bonus space adds a bedroom, bathroom, bonus area and loft!
Catch you back here tomorrow!

The porches on this house are amazing! The house itself lives so much bigger than you would think. 12′ ceilings on the first floor and more than 11′ on the second, add to the open feeling in the rooms.

Yes! And porches are so important to most of us! It’s an extension of the house…!

There is one thing I do not understand. If I am having a party formal enough that I do not want my guests sitting in the family room, why do I want them dining in my kitchen? Unless you do dishes between each course, a 5 course meal for 6 or 8 creates a LOT of dirty dishes, and I do not want my guests seeing that. Don’t suggest the dish washer. My Royal Albert is not dishwasher safe, nor is my antique crystal. Last I looked I don’t have a scullery maid nor even a Hazel!

Well, then I would say you prefer a house plan with separate rooms vs. an open concept plan, am I right? Personally, we live in an older home that has separate rooms (not open concept) and I love the feeling that separate rooms give you. Open concept plans are very popular right now, but know that if you find a plan you love but wish it had a wall, or a room more private for dining, etc. you can always reach out to the architect/designer and have that wish turned into a reality!
