Featured Artist: Layne Johnson!

Moonrise Whispers by Layne Johnson 24×24″ Oil

Layne Johnson. An artist who paints in oil – I ran across his work on Instagram. His cloud paintings are stunning, but they are also sold out (the originals anyway, he does have prints at very affordable prices). Check out the prints of the clouds and you’ll see what I mean! Click HERE if you’re interested in Original Art (me!) – nothing wrong with prints – some people’s taste changes often and it also allows everyone to have some form of art!

Love the pop of orange in this painting – the overall feeling is magical!

Read a bit about Layne, from his website (click HERE to read the full bio):

After a lifetime working and living in one of the largest US cities, my studio is now located in the heart of the east Texas woodlands. (Yes, my part of Texas is heavily forested – we love our tall trees!) I feel much closer to nature now, where I’m surrounded by inspiration and beauty every day. Since I primarily paint Texas landscapes, that’s very appropriate, don’t you think?

I want you to feel like you could walk right into one of my paintings and explore. Put your toes in the cool water or walk through the wildflowers. Wander down the path and around the bend to see what’s just out of sight. Hear the birdsong and the rolling thunder in the distance. Take a deep breath and relax into the moment…

Catch you back here tomorrow!
