This palm trunk is so stunning to me – the way the light hits the trunk making those warm colors just pop. Look at all the different textures – and this is without the beautiful green fronds!

After the snow that Charleston had this year (crazy!) several people lost palm trees – or I am assuming they are lost – the are burnt and crispy looking – I am hoping the come back, but their future looks rather bleak. The Sago palms – YIKES! Nearly every single one is about the color of the trunk of this palm!

Spring will be here before we know it – we shall see what truly survived this past winter!
