Wysteria, plentiful here in Charleston, SC. The aroma that drifts through the air is enticing. If you’re walking down the street it will stop you in your tracks and make you search for where the heaven scent (pun intended) is coming from! Wysteria is a vine (that you need to keep in check). Spring is when it shines in all its glory!
There is so much budding, blooming and already DONE blooming here in Charleston. Our temperatures have gone from 87 warm and sunny to cooler and back warm again. Our winters are mild (for most of us), spring ramps up and mid spring is when the summer temps can be felt.
The azaleas are blooming all over the place as I write this. I walked out the door one morning, in a rush, noticed the azaleas blooming at their peak. Made a note to look at the time and take a photo the next morning. Hmm, that didn’t work. They were spent by that very afternoon. #neverhesitate Our neighbors azaleas are going crazy! I love when they aren’t cut prior to blooming (if you trim, it stops or slows down the number of blooms). They grow rather quickly so it’s tough to get it quite right, but trimming after they bloom is a good rule of thumb.
Enjoy this beautiful day wherever you may be!
✍️ Until next time…
