Palm at Sunset… Charleston!

We are so fortunate…

A sunset walk around the block, this palm looks like it commands attention. So, I had to stop and snap a photo. The sky was even more brilliant. I love how the tree and shrubs appear dark against the fading sunset and blue sky. This is a magical time of year in Charleston. So thankful for relief from the humidity!

Do you have a favorite month, or favorite season? Each season has its pros and cons. One thing I know for sure, we are all so fortunate to be sitting inside a nice home/apartment/dwelling – eating a meal, and living life as if everyone on the planet shares these same luxuries.

But, they don’t. I am thankful to people who put themselves out there like, David Muir (ABC World News) – who recently did a (heartbreaking but eye opening) segment on Madagascar. The children’s eyes haunt me. Knowing that they’re basically living on nothing is heartbreaking. Read the story/see the video HERE. It helps to open our eyes to not only our own news, but news for the entire world…

“Southern Madagascar is on the verge of becoming the world’s first climate-change induced near-famine in modern history. Madagascar has produced 0.01 percent of the world’s annual carbon emissions in the last eight decades, but it is suffering some of the worst effects. “It is not fair…these people have not contributed to climate change because they do not have electricity, they do not have cars etc., and they’re paying probably the highest price in terms of the consequences of climate change,” Mangoni said.”

Click HERE to help… Madagascar has one of the least amounts of carbon emissions yet is paying the highest price. 🙏

✍️ Until next time…
