Recipe thought for Labor Day…!

A Dahlia and a very happy bee!

Labor Day is almost upon us! Do you have a special recipe you like to make this time of year – especially for Labor Day, or are you just chilling and not worrying about it? I’m in dire need of a good recipe to make to celebrate a day off for my husband, ha ha… I’ve been out of the loop cooking-wise for the past few weeks… But I found a recipe for something that sounds perfect and extra tasty!

Do you normally make hamburgers? Hotdogs? Beef or chicken skewers? A wonderful dessert? We’ve been under the weather the past few weeks, so haven’t really been out – food hasn’t been at the forefront of my thoughts, but it’s starting to come back, thank goodness!

I think today we will have whatever comes to us… I’m a planner. I like to plan a menu for the week, shop for it and carry on. However – the past few weeks have been nothing like that. It’s basically eat whatever sounds good and can (thankful for Whole Foods prepared dinners) popped into the oven with little to no effort.

Labor Day recipe idea: If I had a slow cooker, and enough people to eat this – this is exactly what I would make on Monday: Bon Appetit Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork sandwiches with homemade BBQ sauce and coleslaw. Lawdy, now THIS sounds delicious!

And… isn’t this Dahlia stunning? I took this photo on an especially cloudy, misty day in the mountains, the flowers were stunning no matter the weather. 🐝🐝The bees are oh so happy – it made my heart happy.

👩‍💻 Happy Friday – Until next time…
