Avocado toast. It’s so delightful. It has such a nice creamy texture, and what you add to it can only enhance it’s fabulous taste. It’s best on “good bread” something a little hearty. Avocado toast can get pricey in restaurants, but did you know – it’s super easy to make! Done in just a few minutes…
My favorite way to make avocado toast is to toast a slice or two of good bread. Something like sourdough or try it with whatever bread you like, I cannot imagine it not being fabulous!
This is what I do: toast the bread, have the avocado, peeled, with seed removed. I like my avocado mashed up, so that it spreads on the bread. My husband likes it sliced thin and fanned across his toast – problem with that theory (to me) is that it seems to slide off the toast when you take a bite, ha ha.
Next step, spread the avocado over the toast. I usually use 1 small avocado for one piece of toast or 1/2 of a larger avocado. Then I do a light drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO), a squeeze of a small wedge of lemon, a few grinds of pepper and the one ingredient that puts it over the edge: Za’atar seasoning… WOW!
If you have really good tomatoes – a slice of tomato on top is divine, but if it’s not a really good tomato, you may want to hold off. If you don’t have Za’atar (highly recommend next time you’re out!), a sprinkle of salt and pepper will suffice!
Enjoy – it’s a tasty treat – filling too!
👩💻 Until next time…

OOOOwie! It’s good stuff! Maybe Nino Salvaggio’s? That might be a place that would carry it? Try it, I think you’ll love it! xo
