A Stunning Vase of Cut Flowers!

Flowers. I. LOVE. THEM. There is hardly a flower that I don’t like. Even more so now! This little bouquet was so fresh and bright, happy and alive. Visual perfection if you ask me ;)

This image shows one of the many different variations of vases of flowers at The Swag in the dining room. Isn’t it stunning? Especially against the black table.

On a recent trip to the mountains, my husband surprised me upon arrival with a bouquet of flowers (this isn’t it) – many of the flowers in the vase were soft pink baby carnations. Many not opened yet, just buds. At first I thought they were old-fashioned roses – stunning. I have to admit, I have snubbed carnations (especially the poor flowers at the grocery store that they dye blue – oh, please! Stop the madness!) – but these baby carnations had me Googling if I can grow them in Charleston (yes)! We were there several weeks ago and with fresh water and a fresh cut many of my carnations live on!

Don’t snob the carnations – but please don’t dye them either ;)
