HOWLaween is fast approaching – and the neighborhood is filled with Halloween and fall decor. Hopefully you’re ready for it! We scored several bags of candy, so we’re ready for the trick-or-treaters. On another note, this image!! Can you believe how cool? #alwayslookup

The other day we were walking in our neighborhood, I heard a deep sound. I wasn’t sure what it was. Another sound… hmmm, I said to my husband, “funny dog”? He said, no, I think it’s a Halloween decoration – then we looked up and saw this majestic owl. He appeared to be very busy keeping his eye on something – so we moseyed along, but he was a breathtaking sight. I’ve never seen an owl this big. My husband and I tried to rescue a small one we found in our backyard once… he was tiny – we took him to Birds of Prey (the most impressive place ever!) and they tried to save him. This mighty owl, with a sound so grown up, he was large and so impressive. After Googling, could this be a barred owl? The dark eyes are pretty distinct and not noticeable ears on this one… It’s a guess.

I think he was on the prOWL 😂, keeping our neighborhood safe from whatever it may be.
