Happy 4th of July to you!
Isn’t this just the absolute best time of year to grab a good book, soak up the sun (or A/C for a good many of us) – sip an iced tea and disappear into another orbit. I’m reading THE FIVE STAR WEEKEND by Elin Hilderbrand and it’s FABULOUS! I’ve stocked up on several books – it is hurricane season after all!
Enjoy your summer (and this holiday!) whether you’ve invited friends and family to spend time outdoors, grilling hamburgers, cold salads, cold drinks and a nice beach or pool or choose to stay home with a good book and a cuppa tea – here’s to a wonderful 4th!

Heather, your menu sounds delish, as always! We just had a wonderful dinner and I have (cold) cucumber soup made and ready for tomorrow’s dinner! Nothing better when it’s hot like this.
Ugh, we’re missing all of our Monhegan peeps. Fun to keep in touch all year long, even without the chance of actually meeting up. Hopefully one year we will figure it out! I have to say, it’s so nice not to fly to Maine, spend a night, then catch the boat and same coming back – we will figure something out – we can all put our thinking caps on ;) Happy 4th of July, friend! 🇺🇸
