Morning Conversation is our painting by artist, Carol Bass. Carol was a legend, everyone loved her. She was talented beyond belief – the energy that this painting has is unbelievable. The colors, textures, shapes (not to mention the size!) are all spectacular!

We saw the above painting hanging in a show and absolutely loved it. Carol and Bob brought it to the house (solving the dilemma of how in the world were we going to get it here). The energy from this painting is electrifying just like Carol was – she was the most positive woman ever!

Her love of her family was so strong – When we met Carol (back in 2015) she was living on Edisto Island, in such a cool house. It was the perfect place, a culmination of her and Bob. Studio (Carol) + workshop (Bob), wow. They were a dynamic duo. We loved Carol’s work, bought her paintings and kept in touch after she moved back to Maine so she could be around her family and friends, making memories to last a lifetime. 

Carol exuded so much love, light, positivity, grace and sheer brilliance. She was such a kind, sweet human – she will be missed by so many. She was someone who loved to share other people’s gifts and I loved that about her.

Thankful to have known her even if it was just for a short time. Sending our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
