The Old Pitt Street Bridge – Mount Pleasant, SC!

View from Pitt Street Bridge in Mount Pleasant SC.

If you aren’t familiar with the old Pitt Street bridge in Mount Pleasant – you might want to take a peek next time you’re in the area. It is the perfect use of an old bridge. A new bridge was built and some had the forethought to keep a portion of the old bridge so people could walk out, enjoy the stunning vistas, fish, walk their dogs, jog, visit, etc.

I took this photo a week or so ago on a beautiful sunny day (much like today) with quite the breeze. It made for a wonderful walk. There is space for parking so you can head out and enjoy it, bring a picnic or just take a quick walk. I enjoyed this so much. I think you would too! You can read more about the history of the old Pitt Street bridge HERE from Sullivan’s Island Magazine. Great article! I ran into a nice man who was out on his exercise walk and he shared many cool details. I feel so fortunate to be so close to such a treasure! #getoutandwalkifyoucan
