Featured Artist: Jeff Morrow!

A Dog’s Life by Jeff Morrow 24×18″ Oil

Jeff Morrow. A wonderful artist from the Cincinnati, OH area. His work includes beautiful portraits (Yes, he does commissions!), landscapes and animals. I think “A Dog’s Life” is such a nice painting. The dog looks so happy in the water – panting, tail wagging, water splashing, ripples in the water – a lot of movement. The color of the water is stunning, and the dog! So nice!

Read a bit about Jeff, (from the artist):

A full time artist since 2006, Jeff Morrow primarily focuses on portraiture, sporting art and urban scenes.  Morrow gained an aesthetic education during his 28-year career as a commercial photographer and video producer. He describes his style as painterly realism. Though rooted in the classic tradition, his style is contemporary in spirit.
Although the goal of a successful portrait is to create a good likeness and capture the essence of the subject, Morrow works to create paintings that are pleasing on their own merit. He hopes his work will stand the test of time and be treasured by future generations.  His portraits are in both private and corporate collections.
Jeff Morrow’s work has been featured on the cover of The Artists Magazine and in Fine Art Connoisseur magazine. He has received a Gold Medal and a Portraiture Award of Excellence from Oil Painters of America. He also received an Award of Excellence from the Portrait Society of America. Additionally he won several first place and best of show awards in various national competitions. Morrow resides in the Cincinnati area and is a member of The Portrait Society of America, Oil Painters of America, The American Academy of Equine Art and is a Signature Member of the Cincinnati Art Club. He is represented by the Eisele Gallery in Cincinnati Ohio.
