Monhegan Island, a fabulous island off the coast of Maine. Approximately 10 miles out to sea and you find a treasure in this island. The peace and quiet, the birds, the hiking trails, the beauty no matter where you look… ahhhh!

This photo was taken a few years ago – our foggiest trip yet, but we loved every moment. The fog kept it cooler and gave a different glimpse of this island from previous visits. I love how the fog rolls in and is thick as can be. One minute Manana Island (what you can see in photo in the distance) is there and the next minute it’s not! There is so much history and brilliance on this island it’s hard to believe!

Back to normal posting on Monday; had a little surgery on my hand so have been posting photos until I can regroup ;) Catch you back here tomorrow!
