Azaleas in Charleston, SC!

Azaleas | Charleston, SC

I was heading out the door and I stopped and noticed the azaleas blooming… the shrubs are full of buds, a few are blooming as shown above. Our street is lined with live oaks that are decades old (1930’s) – I bet some of these azaleas are from about the same time. They are planted in front of most homes. Some years they all bloom at the same time which is SPECTACULAR, other years they bloom at different times. Fickle. But, a beautiful fickle.

Along with blooms come the gnats and the yellow pollen that covers everything. 🙄We had a warm Winter for the most part, which means the bugs will be out of control, but it’s all good. We certainly cannot complain as we watched the news showing storm after storm across the country this past winter – it excluded us almost every time.

Catch you back here tomorrow!
