The River Tree | Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve is a magical time. The memories from when I was a kid linger. I’m thankful and blessed to have such epic memories. One year we saw Santa’s footprints and reindeer footprints in the snow on a neighbor’s roof. Another year we saw Santa’s footprints in our living room! We couldn’t believe it!

Of course as you grow older, the memories are about more than Santa, gifts, treats, etc.

One year while visiting my family in MI, Santa arrived early, so we needed to get my nephew out of the house… it’s rare that Santa arrives early, but it happens… we asked Max if he would like to go for a pajama walk? We would all go out walking in the dark with flashlights and pajamas and boots and big coats. We had so much fun. (Why is a flashlight the best time as a kid?) Max may not remember that, but we do – we had the most fun.

This year, no family, no friends, but we do have each other. SUPER thankful for that! Happy Christmas Eve Fred, I love you so much! xo me

#damncovid Cannot wait to see my family again! Y’all be safe out there – I know it’s so tempting to want to see your family and friends but if we EVER want this to go away we all need to stay home. Count your blessings every single day.

✍️ Until next time…
